Wild Borneo Expedition 2011
In June 2011, Ethan and Ling led five Singaporean photographers on a wild river safari in the tropical jungles of Borneo! Discover an equatorial wild land filled with numerous species of endemic and endangered species. Be enchanted by the heart-warming images of the endangered Borneo Pygmy Elephant & Proboscis Monkeys!

The Borneo Pygmy Elephants, the smallest species of elephants in the world, are not only endangered, they are also endemic species to Borneo. It’s definitely a privilege to be able to witness heart-warming scene like this as these endangered animals fight for their survival on a day to day basis.

The Plain Pygmy Squirrel, one of the smallest species of squirrel in the world and the smallest in Borneo!

This amazing dive sequence of a Collared Kingfisher taking a dip at the river was shot with the Nikon D3 at the high continuous shooting mode of 11fps.

Oriental Darter, an endangered water bird that is extinct elsewhere in Malaysia. It’s also affectionately known as the snake bird.

The Wild Borneo Expedition 2011 participants photographed over 50 species of birds, mammals and reptiles in just over a week! Join us for our 4D3N Borneo River Wildlife Safari in June 2012 – Click for itinerary and price.
